History of Smiles for Speech Organization
Smiles for Speech (SFS) is an international nonprofit organization founded in 2017 to address the growing need for speech, language, developmental, and educational services for children with disabilities in underserved communities.
Since its establishment, SFS has provided therapy services, caregiver education, professional training, and community outreach programs across multiple countries in Africa, the Caribbean, Central America, and the United States.
Through partnerships with families, schools, healthcare providers, and local organizations, we have supported thousands of children and caregivers while promoting disability inclusion, early intervention, and access to quality services.
After collaborating with over 40 programs across Ghana, we expanded to the Northern region to meet the need of an inclusive early childhood education program that could support children of all abilities while providing access to specialized developmental services not yet available.
