We’re thrilled to announce an exciting new chapter in the Smiles for Speech journey — the launch of our first permanent therapy and training center in Ghana!
For years, Smiles for Speech has been working to bridge the gap in access to communication and educational resources for children with disabilities around the world. Now, we are laying the foundation — literally — for something even more impactful: a sustainable, community-centered hub that will provide speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, educational support, and professional training for generations to come.
Why Ghana?
Ghana is home to a vibrant and growing community of children, educators, and health professionals who are eager for resources but face significant limitations. Our new center will not only support children with communication and developmental needs, but also empower local therapists and educators through ongoing training and collaborative programming.
Without access to speech and occupational therapy, these children face a lifetime of isolation. Their potential is locked away, simply because they were born in a place without the resources they desperately need.
Our work in Ghana over the past few years has shown us both the immense need and the vibrant opportunity to make a long-term difference. This center will allow us to offer year-round services, build sustainable local capacity, and empower families with knowledge and support.
The Smiles for Speech Early Learning and Care Center is changing that. Here, hope is restored. Children find their voices, families find support, and futures are rewritten.
But we can’t do it alone. The need is overwhelming, and the resources are scarce. With your support, we can reach every child, provide life-changing therapy, and build a future where no child is left behind.
